Winston “Gypsy” Peters has been reappointed to once again chair the board at the National Carnival Commission (NCC).
Tourism Minister Randall Mitchell presented instruments of appointment on Tuesday to the nine-member board. They will serve a two-year term. They are:
- Mr. Winston “Gypsy” Peters (Chairman)
- Mr. Davlin Thomas(Deputy Chairman)
- Ms. Jacqueline Springer-Dillon
- Mr. Darian Marcelle
- Ms. Annalean Inniss
- Mrs. Rosalind Gabriel (TTCBA),
- Mrs. Beverly Ramsey-Moore (Pan Trinbago)
- Mr. Ainsley King (TUCO)
- Ms. Vishma Ramcharita
Members of the new Commission have pledged their support and commitment to investing considerable efforts, ideas, and enthusiasm into new pandemic era strategies to protect, preserve and promote Carnival and Trinbago culture.
Colin Lucasm Chief Executive Officer, at the NCC said, “We welcome the reinstated Board and look forward to continuing and building on the work started in recent years.”
“While we face a number of significant challenges as a result of pandemic-related disruptions, we are confident that we have the right combination of expertise, talent, and drive at the Board level to face those issues, and develop viable strategies for the futures of both the organisation and the Carnival industry as an inescapable strategic amalgam,” Lucas added.
