Preliminary action in the National Panorama competition series conceptualised and produced by Pan Trinbago began in earnest on Friday at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port-of-Spain, with northern region bands attached to the security services setting the standard for the presentation.

The T&T Fire Services with its Terrence “BJ” Marcelle arrangement of Austin “Super Blue” Lyons’s Rebecca and the T&T Defence Force Steel Orchestra treatment of Rupert “Swallow” Philo’s Don’t Stop This Party arranged by Sheldon Peters took the spotlight with vigor and vitality despite the early start to competition, in the short Carnival season.

Fire Services appeared in the first half of the steelpan music showcase, while pan players from the military bands woke up the appreciate crowd in the second half of the music production. 

With the success of the northern region showcase attention turns to the south/central zone of Pan Trinbago for today’s second instalment of competition.
